I'm still not completely happy with this, but since I still don't know why I'm dumping it here anyway so I can get some feedback

This started out as a quick sketch, but then I got lost on all the different ways of shading and I still don't know what I like best D: That's probably why I'm still not happy with this piece. Also, crappy background is crappy.

Arash & Karin are my characters from a forum RPG. This is a scene just after Karin made her Growlithe (which she had for years) evolve. THe hand was a pain, but it looks, well, rather okay! Also, I need to draw Arash and Leroy together, since Arash is a real doggy-like Arcanine en Leroy, well, isn't xD

Hm.. let me think. I think you would do well to add some extra hair strokes in Arashes hair, like you did in Karin's hair. It's quite flat the way it's now. Also: I think Karin's arm is a little too short.

Well, that's it for the feedback right now, because I'm kinda tired XD You did a nice job on their emotions and I like the yellowish light
